Drawings, Voilà! A Selection from the Museum Collection

Drawings, Voilà!
A Selection from the Museum Collection

"The world is blinded by/for its image," Michel Hadad wrote on one of his drawings. The drawings in the exhibition are mostly from the 19th and early 20th centuries – a period of rapid social changes and political and cultural upheavals. This unraveled selection reflects art that sounds the voices of individuals and unions with a common interest, without neglecting the classical tradition and heritage that anchors art with reference to the beautiful and the pleasing. Several works of contemporary artists are included as interruptions and insights.
Among the artists: J.M.W. Turner, François Boucher, Edgar Degas, Camille Pissaro, Alberto Giacometti, Juan Gris, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, George Seurat, Paul Klee, Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot, Egon Schiele, James Ensor, Edward Burne Jones, Alexander Archipenko
