Loris Gréaud

Loris Gréaud:
Sculpt: Grumpy Bear,
The Great Spinoff

Loris Gréaud (born 1979), is featured for the first time in Israel in a solo exhibition constructed as a cyclical narrative whose main motif is rain. Rain as a futuristic technology and as a poetic, fictional or apocalyptic appearance, with a NASA cloudgenerator, the animated Grumpy Bear and
fragments from J.G. Ballard’s science fiction novels, all accumulate to an atmosphere that is simultaneously futuristic, dramatic and dystopic.

The project in the Lightfall was made possible thanks to the generosity of Jill and Jay Bernstein; The exhibition was made possible thanks to the generosity of The French Committee of Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum, Fonds Social Juif Unifié, French Institute, Paris, French Institute, Israel, and the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs; it was organized as part of Saison France-Israel 2018

A talk with the artist will take place on November 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the Doron Sebbag—ORS Ltd. Photography Gallery
