The Museum Presents Itself III: Renewed Display

New works feature in the Israeli Art Collection, though not necessarily by young artists; some are by established artists presented for the first time. Many works relate to history, ideology, craft practices and folk traditions; others, by contemporary artists, refer to the collection’s canonical works. To mark Israel’s 70th anniversary, works by past artists were added to collection’s historic part, relating to constitutive events in the state’s early years.

The display was made possible thanks to the generosity of Tova and Sami Sagol and Naomi and David Kolitz
