The Gala Dinner of the French Committee of Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, presided by its President Jacqueline Frydman, was held at the special venue, the Laboratoire, in the same week of the FIAC.

During the evening, the "Contemporary Art Prize 2010" was awarded to internationally acclaimed South-African artist William Kentridge by Prof. Mordechai Omer. Three short videos by Kentridge were screened and he was interviewed by Marie-Laure Bernadac, General Curator of the Contemporary Art of the Louvre as well as by David Edwards, Professor at Harvard and Founder of the Laboratoire.

Eliette Abécassis, French renowned writer was also a guest of honor, and was interviewed by the Director of France Culture, Olivier Poivre d'Arvor.

The festive event was well attended by 150 guests and included, as always, many prominent members from the Parisian art scene.
