In May, President Jaqueline Frydman and the French Committee of Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art mounted a remarkable exhibition of photographs that depicted Tel Aviv at the beginning of the State of Israel. The exhibition, which was held at the auction house Artcurial, celebrated the 100th Year Anniversary of the city of Tel Aviv. The event was very well attended with a significant number of the works sold.

In October, the French Committee of Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and its President organized the Gala evening and Benefit Auction held at the exciting Palais de Tokyo. The contemporary and trendy event was held in the same week of the FIAC. A maquette of the New Museum Building was created entirely out of Lego bricks by the Little Artists, two young British artists, John Cake and Darren Neave. The Lego maquette was completed by them in front of the guests during the course of the evening. An auction conducted by the auctioneer from Artcurial, Francois Tajan, was held selling lego bricks symbolising a piece of the New Museum Building. In addition, the Contemporary Art Prize 2009 was awarded to internationally aclaimed French artist Christian Boltanski. The event was well attended by over 200 guests and included many prominent members from the Parisian art scene.
