More than 140 guests attended the annual Gala Dinner of the Italian Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art honoring the eminent art historian and curator, Germano Celant, followed by private tours of the newly opened Fondazione Prada and the exhibition "Arts & Foods. Rituals since 1851" held in conjunction with Expo 2015.

The Italian Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art (A.M.A.T.A.) held their annual Gala Dinner at the Principe di Savoia Hotel in Milan on 3 June.
The evening, organized by the A.M.A.T.A.'s President Anna Sikos-Talso, honored the eminent art historian and curator, Germano Celant, who received A.M.A.T.A.'s 2015 Man of the Year Award. Celant's keynote address was on the Responsibility of the World of Finance to Arts & Culture.

The event was attended by many distinguished guests including Ron Huldai, Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo and Yael Huldai; Giuliano Pisapia, Mayor of Milan and Cinzia Pisapia; Naor Gilon, Israel's Ambassador to Italy; Suzanne Landau, Director and Chief Curator of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art; Prof. Piergaetano Marchetti, President of the Italy-Israel Foundation for Culture and the Art; Ambassador Avi Pazner and Marty Pazner; and attracted other prominent figures from Italy's economic, cultural and artistic spheres as well as the Museum's friends from the U.S., Switzerland, Spain, France and the U.K.

On the following day, friends of the Museum viewed the thought-provoking exhibition "Arts & Foods. Rituals since 1851" held in conjunction with Expo 2015, guided by its curator, Germano Celant and his wife, Paris, followed later by a private tour of the newly opened Fondazione Prada.
