Index to Hebrew Periodicals (Haifa University)

The Index to Hebrew Periodicals holds references to Hebrew-language articles from periodicals, collections of essays and a selection of articles from daily newspapers: topics covered are varied, including art, and some articles are cited in full.


EBSCO Art Databases (formerly WilsonWeb Art):

Search this database for essays in periodicals in several languages on a range of art topics including art history, decorative art, interior design, computers in art, painting, photography, sculpture, cinema.
Two databases are included:
Art Index Retrospective: references to essays from 1929 to 1984.
Art Full Text: references to essays and abstracts published since 1984, and full text (of selected essays) since 1995.


Archive of academic journals, comprising full texts of digitized back issues (with the exception of a 3–5-year embargo) of academic journals covering the arts, humanities, science, technology and social sciences.

Oxford Art Online

On-line art encyclopedia with entries, biographies, image database and relevant links. The database includes four encyclopedias:
Grove Art Online
The Oxford Companion to Western Art
The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms
The Encyclopedia of Aesthetics


A database of images relating to humanities, art and social sciences, created by collaboration between libraries, museums, archives, private individuals and non-profit organizations. The database also offers tools for image management for research and education, such as adding comments and creating presentations.
