MILAN, Rendezvous 2016
Milan, Italy
2-3 February 2016

More than 180 people attended the conference "Excellence Has No Color – Empowering People from Diverse Backgrounds" held at the beautiful gallery at Milan City Hall. It was organized by A.M.A.T.A., headed by President Anna Sikos, in collaboration with Don Colmegna, President of Casa della carità, and addressed our role in saving the lives of asylum seekers and refugees.  Among the speakers were Deputy Mayor of Tel Aviv–Yafo, Mehereta Baruch Ron; Councilor for Culture of Milan, Filippo del Corno; President of Casa della carità Don Colmegna; A.M.A.T.A. President Anna Sikos; and Ruggero Gabbai, member of Milan city council, who also served as the Master of Ceremonies. On the following day, guests were invited to the opening of the exhibition "Excellence Has No Color" curated by Jean Blanchaert, Vice-President of A.M.A.T.A., featuring works of art by children from the Bialik-Rogozin Campus in Tel Aviv (made in collaboration with the Tel Aviv Museum of Art) and from the Casa della carità. The exhibition took place at the impressive Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro, an appropriate venue for this project of great social significance, generously provided for this cause by Arnaldo Pomodoro, Italy's foremost sculptor.
