The Art Road to Peace Project

The Art Road to Peace Project, Art Encounters Between Arab and Jewish Children, is supported by TAMAD e.V. (the German Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art).

The Tel Aviv Museum of Art has always placed great importance on promoting cooperation between Arabs and Jews through the universal language of art. The Museum’s Education Department has initiated various projects between the members of these communities to foster an atmosphere of creativity and acceptance and reduce stereotypes and prejudice. For many, these visits are first-time experiences at the Museumas well as with children from diverse communities.

The Art Road to Peace is made up of the following projects: A Taste of Art at the Museum, which brings Arab and Jewish children for their first visit to the Museum; The First Steps on the Art Road, a program specifically tailored to Arab and Jewish kindergartens in Israel; and Paint Me Peace, which provides multiple sessions of art-related activities for Arab and Jewish children at the Museum. The Project also offers courses at the Joseph and Rebecca Meyerhoff Art Education Center for Arab and Jewish children throughout the year.
