About the Participants:
Orit Akta Hildesheim (b. 1970, Eilat, lives and works in Tel Aviv), recipient of the 2011 Shiff Prize. She has had many solo exhibitions, including at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art; Artists House, Tel Aviv; and Zimack Gallery, Tel Aviv, and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Israel.
Eldar Farber (b. 1970, Tel Aviv, lives and works in Berlin and Tel Aviv), recipient of the 2012 Shiff Prize. He has had many solo exhibitions, including at Nelly Aman Gallery, Tel Aviv, and Alon Segev Gallery, Tel Aviv, and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Israel and abroad.
David Nipo (b. 1964, Rio de Janeiro, lives and works in Nir Akiva), recipient of the 2013 Shiff Prize. Co-founder of Hatahana Studio (with Aram Gershuni), teaches at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem. He has had numerous solo exhibitions, including at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art; Golconda Gallery, Tel Aviv; and Ashdod Art Museum; and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Israel and abroad.
Roni Taharlev (b. 1964, Yagur, lives and works in Jaffa), recipient of the 2022 Shiff Prize. Teaches at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, and at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. Taharlev has had many solo exhibitions, including at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art; Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art; and Rothschild Gallery, Tel Aviv. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Israel, London, Edinburgh, Berlin, and Paris.
Prof. Dror Verman (b. 1960, Jerusalem, lives in Jaffa) is a historian of early modern European culture, researching the transition from the early modern to the modern period at the intersections of history, literature, art, and material culture. He serves as the President of Tel Aviv–Yafo Academic College, and previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Eran Webber (b. 1980, Moshav Habonim, lives and works in Moshav Habonim), head of the sculpture department for non-academic studies at the Academy of Art in Florence. Founder of Webber Atelier in Moshav Habonim, teaches drawing and sculpture courses in Israel and abroad. He has had solo exhibitions, including at Rothschild Gallery, Tel Aviv, and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Israel and abroad.
