Changing Patterns of Consumption / A Guided Tour Through Selected Works from Three Exhibitions (in Hebrew)
A guided tour of the exhibitions: Tom Wesselmann: All Out, Ilana Dotan: Shelf Life, and Noma Bar: Look Again
This special gallery talk explores three exhibitions that examine consumer products and the images that surround them. In Noma Bar: Look Again reveals the power of the consumer image, demonstrating how graphic design shapes the way we perceive brands and the world around us. Tom Wesselmann: All Out presents the visual language of American Pop Art, exploring consumer culture, mass-produced goods, and the ways in which everyday images can become commodities. In Ilana Dotan: Shelf Life traces the remnants of consumption through discarded packaging and everyday objects, inviting us to reflect on what remains after the act of consumption: the package, the residue, and the memory.
Through selected works from all three exhibitions, we will consider the life cycle of objects in a culture of abundance, examining how our patterns of consumption have evolved—and what they reveal about society, culture, and everyday life.
