Anemones #3, 2013

Works and Video Works 1994—2014
The Rappaport Prize for an Established Israeli Artist, 2013

David Reeb’s work is deeply rooted in an ethical commitment to life and to art. Hundreds of painted images, which convey physical urgency and a daily awareness of vanishing time, spread out a kaleidoscopic view of the daily and political reality of an artist in Israel. The exhibition presents works from the past two decades, with an emphasis on the videos Reeb has been making since 2005 in demonstrations in Bil’in, I’lin and Nabi Salih, and paintings made from them.
