More than canvas

On paper, canvas, wood, glass or even a computer screen: what one paints on is just as important as what and how one paints. Any surface can serve as support for a painting on which color, lines and forms merge into one whole. This interactive exhibition exposes children and adults to works of art executed on traditional as well as other kinds of support: traffic lights, leaves, stones, walls and the body. Children will have an opportunity to actually feel the various kinds of supports, in order to better understand how the material of the support affects the choice of medium and technique.
