Walid Abu Shakra — Mintarat Al-Batten

A comprehensive selection of prints by Walid Abu Shakra (b. 1945, Umm el-Fahem; lives in London).
The title of the exhibition refers to a guard's post (Mintara) and metaphorically reflects a process whereby Abu Shakra, returning to his childhood memories—when the guard's post was hidden among orchards and cacti—becomes the guard who grants a possibility of eternity to those disappearing views.

Held in collaboration with Umm el-Fahem Art Gallery, which holds a comprehensive exhibition of the artist's paintings (curator: Farid Abu Shakra)
