The Museum Presents Itself: Israeli Art from the Museum Collection

The title of this exhibition quotes the name given in 1959 by Eugen Kolb, then the Museum's Director, to the opening exhibition at the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion. The galleries will present a permanent selection of Israeli art from the Museum's collection, with three opening chapters: Joint Identities, 1906 1960; Private Identities, 1960–1990; Glocalism, 1990–2011. The exhibition continues with Ori Gersht's video art Evaders, 2009.

Major funding was provided by The David Berg Foundation, New York
