Soft Worlds

Installation view

Softness is a quality as well as an indication of changeability: it can describe behavior and a point of view. The use of soft material in sculpture is a 20th-century innovation. The artists in the exhibition, Dana Cohen, Gan De Lange, Nir Harel, Inbal Hofman and Dina Shenhav, emphasize characteristics of softness, elasticity, playfulness and elusiveness. The audience is invited to touch, squeeze, join, fill and feel the materials on show.

The exhibition is sponsored by the British Friends of the Art Museums of Israel
